Chief, Research Scientist Development Office for Research on Disparities and Global Mental Health, NIMH Overview: This was the first installment in a series of webinars on implementation science research in global mental health. In this presentation, the speakers introduced the field of implementation science and its key objectives. Also, the speakers demonstrated an example of implementation science by presenting a study on depression treatment in primary care. They sketched and discuss theoretical frameworks from various scientific traditions (including CFIR, TDF, and TICD). This presentation identified and assessed a range of research methods in implementation science from the perspective of the co-editor-in-chief of the journal, implementation science.
