Dr. Sarah Lisanby, Director of the NIMH Noninvasive Neuromodulation Unit, and Dr. Matthew Rudorfer, Associate Director of the NIMH Treatment Research Division of Services and Intervention Research, describe transcranial magnetic stimulation and electroconvulsive therapy for treatment-resistant depression.
