My Ways runs in the background and constantly records your location. You can view your trails by days, weeks, months, and even years! The data is only stored on your device and you can use their map visualizations to look at the trails of your location.

Every time you visit a place, you "check in" to the place to earn points and badges. Over time, you will acquire a history of places you visit as well as badges.
